Well, it certainly has been awhile since I last posted anything . . . April of last year, yeah. A lot of that was due to bad internet through a phone hotspot and uploading photos of any kind taking hours. We have much better internet now and finally seem a little less busy than the past few months. To recap the past few months it'll be a lot easier to tell through pictures. Enjoy!
My parents sold the Woods Cross home and moved to Saratoga Springs . . . makes me sad because they're not close by anymore and I was 6 when we moved into that house
My younger sister Megan (8 years younger than me) graduated from high school and I took her pictures. The one above is the one that she used . . . the ones below were some of my favorites.
We decided to refinish our dining room table that we bought from the D.I. before we got married . . . it turned out great! (Let's try and forget about the layer of dust that covered everything in our apartment afterwards . . .)
Oh, and I painted those green table legs white. Much better.
Our good friends Kayla and Sam got married in June
We took a giant canoe (yes, it really is on top of the Ford Focus) with our friends up to a lake for a few hours. What we didn't plan on was how windy and cold it would be.
Took the little brother to the car show at the city park.
Loved the tractor so much that he was willing to go and ask a complete stranger if he could sit on it
Took a hike a year after our engagement to the same spot :)
Drove up to Spokane to see my older brother Andrew get married to a cute girl named Kelsey
Drove up to Grace for the county fair and to visit my grandparents
Discovered the cure for baldness up at Chesterfield
The Higginson ancestors that we are from
The Higginson house
The geyser in Soda Springs
Yep. Not a complete trip without natural soda water from Hooper Springs
My grandpa when he was in the Korean war
A picture of my Dad and his older sister . . . looks a lot like pictures of my brother and I when we were little
Picture of my grandma
My Dad and his siblings (he is second picture)
My grandma and two of her younger siblings
Richard and one of his brothers digging a pretty deep trench to stop a leak in the basement
Oh, that's right. We moved. Into the house shown in the above picture with the trench. (Yes, that is Richard sleeping on our bed in the living room)
We lived in the living room a couple of weeks until the carpet got put in downstairs.
Boy, we have a lot of stuff. Oh and the one bedroom upstairs was being rented by my sister Megan who went to the U last fall and didn't want to commute from Saratoga Springs. (Mind you she lived in our one bedroom apartment with us for 2 1/2 months during the summer)
Our unfinished master suite in the basement (Rich helped his Dad cut that nice big window with a concrete saw . . . let's just say this house has a nice foundation)
Spare bedroom in the basement
Laundry room
Downstairs hallway and stairwell
I'll be posting completed pictures of the house in a following post along with other news and happenings. Stay tuned!
