Hawaii!!!
So here's probably the biggest news all summer for me . . . I'm moving to Hawaii! I got a year-long internship/job in Honolulu with a limo company. It will be a really good starting point for a career. I don't really know when I'm leaving or really anything yet. More details to come!

What a Week
So this week has been pretty crazy, well mainly just this weekend. On Monday I got a phone call to set up a phone interview for a temporary job in Boise with the Department of Education. I had the interview on Tuesday and it went okay. It's hard to tell when you're not in person. They proceeded to tell me that they would let me know yes or no in 48 hours. I never received a phone call telling me either way and now I have two embarrassing phone messages that I hope will not be replied to. On the upside, my roommate from my junior year of college, Virginia, got married on friday and I drove down to her reception in Mapleton, just south of Provo. It was a nice reception and it was fun to see her with her new husband Cameron. They are in Maui right now on their honeymoon. While I was in line at the reception, I got a phone call from a number I didn't recognize. On the day before, I was looking at BYU-Idaho's Career Navigator and applying for some jobs. I applied for this one job in Hawaii on a whim and that's who was calling me. I talked to a girl for a few minutes and then she handed the phone to the owner/ceo of the company and I talked to him for a little bit. I thought it went surprisingly well. I didn't panic and I was completely myself and the words just flowed from my mouth. I checked my school email today and saw an email from this company from yesterday just asking me some questions to get to know me better. I think it is a good sign, I hope it is. The pay isn't the greatest, but they help pay for housing, they pay for my plane ticket, I get a bus pass and possibly a scholarship (which doesn't really help me, seeing as I am no longer in school). Basically it is between making money and living at home going crazy or moving to Hawaii just to make ends meet for a year. We'll have to see what happens though. Also, I was called to be a teacher in Relief Society and I taught my first lesson today. I didn't think it went that well, but everyone else thought it did. I also washed, used touch-up paint, waxed and vacuumed my car. Waxing was a strangely satisfying experience. I still need to get a picture of my car up on here, maybe next post.

Bad Day
So today started out okay. Monday's usually aren't my favorite anyway, but at least I have Great Harvest bread to look forward to at break for work at 9. We weren't doing the most enjoyable of jobs today (weeding and hedging these shrubs that people in that particular neighborhood complain about every year and every year we do it), but it was partly in the shade. The day was looking okay until I received a phone call from what I thought at the moment was an ex-boyfriend (the crazy one that is not so crazy now), but when I heard a woman's voice on the phone I quickly realized it was him calling from his number. I first thought it might be his mother, but she said that she was his girlfriend and she was wondering if there was something going on between the two of us. I reassured her that we were only friends, but she went on to accuse me of wanting him back and all this other stuff. The funny thing is, he told me they broke up over a phone call over two weeks ago and I had texted him last Wednesday to see if he wanted to hangout Saturday night, which he responded to yes. I called him Saturday night and the other line hung up. I then texted him because I was driving back from Mapleton from a friends bridal shower. Never heard from him. I then called him again and left him a voicemail. Never heard from him. I texted him yesterday afternoon. Never heard from him. I then resorted to leaving him a message on facebook (no we are not facebook friends . . . refer to one of my first posts on my blog). These things lead me to believe that this girl showed up from Brazil (yes, that is where she is from . . . online dating?) unexpectedly and I kind of want some answers from this supposed friend of mine. I was really shaken up after her phone call to me and I really wanted to just call him, but she called from his phone. I was tempted to call his home phone and possibly his sister, but I refrained. Mostly because I no longer have those numbers. So I left my job at 2:30 and ran home and wrote him an email basically telling him I didn't appreciate being called by his girlfriend/ex-girlfriend (who really even knows?!) and that I deserve some answers from him. I then ran up to my dentist appointment at 3:00 and started getting prepped for the dentist appointment from Hades. 7 cavities and a crown. I left there around 5:30 and grabbed a Keva, not realizing that my mouth was too numb to drink out of a straw. It's almost 7:00 now and I'm still a little numb, but quickly realizing that my mouth is going to be quite sore for a couple of days. I get my crown put on the 16th and then go in on the 31st to have the other half of my mouth done. This is what happens when you don't go to the dentist in 4 years and when your other dentist tells you that the cavities between all your molars are very tiny and probably don't need to be filled. I hate the dentist, but I'm making sure I go now to get my 6 month cleanings. On the up side, I get to play ultimate frisbee tonight. Hopefully people show up tonight, seeing as last week was a bust. I'll get pictures of my room and my car up soon!
