New House

So we actually moved at the very end of August to the house next door to Richard's parents.  They've been using it as a rental and we actually ended up buying and closing on the house in October.  It is so fantastic having all the extra space . . . definitely a step above our 500 square foot apartment.  Oh, and the other great part; no wall to wall neighbors.  So wonderful.   What would a new house tour be without pictures?  Welcome to our home!

Entrance . . . I never did get a picture of the outside

Looking into the dining room

Living room

My favorite shelf with pretty things

Hallway with arch (looking into the bathroom . . . oops)

We bought a cute little fireplace and Rich built a beautiful hearth for it to sit on

The handyman hard at work

Love the colored ceramic tile . . . all that's left to do is attach corner tile and grout the entire base

Richard's new "man cave" after my sister moved back in with my parents

Bathroom (unfortunately this is the only one and our bedroom is downstairs . . . makes for a long trip to the bathroom at night)

Kitchen

Other view of the kitchen including our stylish hook-up-to-the-sink dishwasher

Suicide stairs going to the basement (someday we'll finish the stairwell and add carpet so these aren't as deadly)

Storage hallway and under-the-stairs storage

Other end of the hallway looking into the laundry room

Laundry room

Laundry room again

Our bedroom

Again . . . and maybe someday we'll get closet doors up along with the remaining trim and baseboards

Office in our bedroom (it might become a half-bath someday)

Spare bedroom through the laundry room

Spare bedroom again . . . everything else goes in this room

Really.  Everything else.  Although we will probably start working on clearing those things out sooner than later.  Yes as most of you already know and could probably guess by looking at some of these pictures, we are having a baby this year.  We found out on September 26th and our baby is due on June 8, 2013.

Yep.  It's true.  More on this in another post.
