So begins a new year

The best thing about this year so far is that we can now tell people that we got married last year.  It sounds so much better than two months, or the close to three that we are.  So I know I promised a post over a week ago, but better late than never.  This is going to be more of a photo dump than anything, so here goes.

We went to Hawaii for a week for our honeymoon.  So much fun, but I wish I would have taken more pictures.

Went on a hike in a rainforest (Look familiar?  It's the same one I did by myself while I was living there)

Went to a lookout point

Hiked Diamond Head and got blinded by the sun

Proof that Richard is capable of wearing flip-flops

Went to Pearl Harbor

Went to the Dole Plantation; note that Richard does not like pineapples in any form

I do though :)

Watched at least one sunset during the week . . . this one is the only evidence we have though

Went to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a day

Went snorkeling and then to sandy beach and watched Richard get sucked under a wave

Found coral . . . we still have it

Went to a Buddhist temple and rang the bell for good luck

Saw the La'ie Temple; didn't have enough time to go in though

Moved into our new apartment :)

Moved in some more

Had a Halloween party with Tony and Kelci (and we're excited for them to get married next month)

Had some Temple Square adventures first with Richard's family and then with our friends, Kayla and Sam

Richard with his favorite all red tree

And now you can see the apartment all put together :)

Well, almost.  Richard still has a lot of stuff at his parent's house

Richard's brother Nathan got back from his mission in Finland

We were without power for a couple of days because of a massive windstorm

Had our first Christmas together

Went and played frisbee together where we first met . . . I can't believe it's been over a year since we met.  I couldn't be happier and more grateful to have Richard in my life.

  3. yay! i am so glad to add you to my blog sidebar. what a cute couple you make. its kinda funny being an aunt that 'kinda' grew up with your oldest nephews and nieces and then they start to do really grown up things like going and getting married. i sure feel protective when it comes to who they will marry someday... and you started it all off right. i am grateful that richard kay found someone like you, haley. he sure loves you and i can tell you love him... and what a blessing that is. please keep treating each other like gold and always adore each other... no matter what.

cute blog. i will stop by often.
