Back to the blogging world

I can hardly believe that it's been two months since I was last on here!  Just to recap, we had to move out of the apartment we had three days before the wedding.  We found out on 4th that our landlord had been arrested for ten counts of lewdness.  One report called him the "Farmington flasher".  Yeah, we've got great luck.  So we ended up moving our stuff from that apartment to Richard's grandparent's basement until after the honeymoon.  The weather ended up not raining for the wedding day, but it was freezing.  We had to do it in the church (which is what I should have just decided from day 1 and I could have avoided all the drama with the parentals).  We went on a fantastic honeymoon to Hawaii for a week (I'll do a post on this later in the week with pictures.  I promise!) and reluctantly came back to reality in Utah.  Our landlord's wife decided to change her mind and not give us our money back while we were gone in Hawaii.  Yep.  Out $800 and nothing to show for it.  We get to go to small claims court to try and get our money back.  So much fun.  We did find a new place to live in Bountiful for not too much more a month and much nicer.  We've been here since a little before Halloween.  I'll do another post with pictures.  Well, my stuff is all moved in, but a lot of Richard's is still at his parents house due to the lack of time before the wedding; moving twice and all.  He does have to have it out before next Thursday though, because his brother will be getting back from his mission and needs a room.  Well that's really about all that's happened in the past two months.  Being married is great and I couldn't be happier.  To keep your interest until my next post, here's some pictures from the big day!

  1. Look at how beautiful you are! Love your dress!

Sorry we couldn't make the reception. We hope married life continues to treat you splendidly and that you don't have any more creepy landlords! Yikes!

  2. Love the wedding day pictures and I hope you got your money back. Surely no one would expect you to live there after you found out.
