The rest of Hawaii

So here's my blog post as promised . . . just a month late.  So after I quit my job in Hawaii, I rented a car for three days and had a blast around the island.  The Sunday night before I left, I went with a bunch of people from my branch and had a bonfire on the beach.  On Monday I rented a car in Honolulu and went to Sandy's and sat on the beach by myself and then drove to a lookout point for an amazing view.

I drove up to La'ie later that night.  The next morning I woke up at about 3 in the morning to drive to Kaneohe to climb Stairway to Heaven with my friend Tanner (airport boy).  It was so crazy, but worth it.  Here's a few of the sunrise pics I got from the top.

I was freezing at the top from getting soaked on the 4,000 steps up to the top.

The way down was so intense and my legs were shaking so bad.  The view was beautiful though.

I drove back to La'ie and dropped Tanner off for class and then drove to a beach park to wash off my muddy arms and legs.  I went and ate breakfast at the Hukilau Cafe and went to another beach out past Turtle Bay and watched the waves for a bit.  I went to the La'ie Temple open house again.  Then we drove out to Waimea to watch the sunset.  I didn't play in the water because the waves were too big.  Someday I'll go back and play in the ocean.  Here are some of the amazing sunset shots I got.

So after that long day I got some sleep and woke up for another long day.  My roommate and I drove to Kaneohe to go to Valley of the Temples.  Even though it was a rainy day, it was still beautiful.  Guess that's Hawaii for you though.  After that, we drove on the H-3 back to other side of the island to head to the Dole plantation.  Last, we headed up to get some Hawaiian ice up on North Shore.  I took the car back and they gave me a ride back to my house.

So my flight out of Honolulu was supposed to leave around 8:00 in the morning.  I got up early and got packed up and ready to go.  I got to the airport with plenty of time, but as we were unloading my bags from the car, I realized that one of my bags had been left at the house.  I waited for my bag to get back to me at the airport, but it was too late for them to check me in for the flight.  After crying in the airport and then on the ride back to my house, I got some sanity and tried to figure out what to do next.  I ended up getting a flight for 10:30 that night to San Francisco and then arriving at 1 the following day in Salt Lake City.  Here's the bag that caused all the problems and ended up being shipped to me anyway.

Since getting back I feel like I have no direction in my life.  I thought I had the next 9 months of my life planned out, but now I have no idea what I want to do.  I have no motivation to even start the job hunt again.  I'm living back at home with my whole family (7 altogether plus 2 dogs) and I'm working for my step-dad out in Midvale three days a week.  Hopefully with the new year just around the corner I can get some direction with my life and figure out what I'm doing.  I know I'm supposed to be back here in Utah and not in Hawaii, but I'm just struggling with life.
