Well, not really we, but me. Refer to this YouTube video clip "Kittens inspired by kittens". I did my best packing for a year in 3 suitcases and a backpack. My flight was supposed to leave Salt Lake at 3:10 yesterday. This would have given me a 47 minute layover in Seattle giving me plenty of time to use the bathroom and eat some dinner. Needless to say, the flight coming from San Francisco was late and we didn't get in the air until 4:00. The pilots did a great job in getting us to Seattle just before 5:00, because the flight to Honolulu was leaving at 5:07. So I got off that plane and got right on the other. I was extremely hungry at this point, so when we got in the air and they came by with food, I bought an overpriced sandwich. I watched two movies during the six hour flight. . I was greeted by my boss with a fresh Hawaiian lei. I was too tired to even be embarrassed. Here's something fun though . . . I met a really cute guy on the same two flights that I was on. We talked while boarding our connecting flight to Honolulu and then at the baggage claim when we landed. He goes to BYU-Hawaii. He told me I should look him up on the BYU-Hawaii stalker net. I already did, but I'm not sure if I should use the number. We'll see about that, maybe this weekend I'll send him a text. I was kind of sad because I wanted to see the ocean from the sky, but there were too many clouds and then it got dark. I can't see the ocean from where I'm staying, but I have some amazing views of the mountains hereHopefully I'll get some pictures up soon. I'm not a fan of the humidity. Thank goodness for fans and cold showers. I walked to the grocery store a little while ago. I knew the prices were much higher than in the mainland, but I stillwasn't prepared for this. Here's what I spent $24.49 on:
store brand berry captain crunch (small bag) $3.99
3 pack of popcorn $1.99 (not too bad, I did save $1.00)
store brand grape jelly $2.99
store brand peanut butter $3.79 (regular size too! Ouch!)
4 pack of Angel Soft toilet paper $1.67 (not much different from Utah, but I did save $.32)
liquid dish soap $1.99 ($1.00 off)
one quart of milk $2.29 ( this is so sad to me because I l
ove milk so much)
liquid hand soap $1.19
store brand white bread $3.49 (this one hurt too ev
en after I saved $.50)
Good thing I got the Safeway preferred card or it would have been closer to $30. I wish I lived closer to the Walmart, but it isn't really walking distance. Hopefully I will get to go with my boss's wife to the Walmart/Sam's Club in a couple of days to pick up some more food. Otherwise pb&j, cereal and popcorn is going to get pretty boring. At least I get lunch at my job . . . now that's something to look forward to. Here's me after I got my bed made and was ready for bed. Oh, and that's the lei. It was only about 10:30 in Hawaii, but for me being used to Utah time it felt like almost 3:00 in the morning. I woke up at 6:30 the next morning. Maybe I'll write again this weekend.

Cool. You are in for such a great adventure! You should definitely send that guy a text, too.
